Do you know how to take care of your skin?

In summer, skin care becomes critically important due to increased exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays, heat and humidity.

UV radiation can cause sunburn, premature photoaging (wrinkles and spots), and increases the risk of various skin-related diseases. Therefore, using broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher is essential to protect the skin from sun damage, in addition to an oral sunscreen.

Heat and humidity can also increase sebum production, clog pores, and cause acne breakouts. Keeping skin clean with gentle cleansers and avoiding harsh products prevents these complications.

Moisturising is essential, as sun and heat can dehydrate the skin, making it more prone to irritation and flaking. Using light moisturisers and drinking enough water helps to keep skin soft and supple.

Finally, after-sun care, such as using aloe vera gels, is vital to soothe the skin and repair damage after sun exposure.

In summary, a proper protection, cleansing and moisturising routine is vital in summer to maintain skin health. However, don’t forget to maintain a diet rich in fresh fruit and vegetables, which provide antioxidants and vitamins beneficial to the skin, and to incorporate food supplements with vitamin A as it plays a very important role in maintaining the normal functioning of the skin and mucous membranes.
